Conference Location
The ClimaCon conference will take place October 10-11, 2018 at York University. More details on the venue will be shared soon!
Registration Desk
The conference registration desk will be located outside the plenary hall. There you'll be able to fill out a name tag, gather conference materials, and sign-up to hear about next steps.
Conference Badges
You’ll fill out a conference badge when you arrive at the registration desk. Please wear it at all times during the conference, and bring it along to any offsite functions.
Pro tip: Remember to take off your badge when you step outside the meeting space. It identifies you as someone from away and broadcasts your name to passersby.
Speaker Check-In
If you’re a speaker, please plan to arrive at the conference at least 45 minutes before your session begins, and check in at the registration desk as soon as you arrive.
Pro tip: If you can, we recommend that you attend as much of the conference as you can (especially sessions that take place before yours), to get a better idea of what panelists and participants are talking about.

We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers. Any concerns should be flagged with Climate Action Network staff and we will deal with reports promptly.

The average October temperature in Toronto can be fairly cool, averaging a low of around 4° C and a high of around 14°C. Snow is rare in October but not entirely impossible. October days have around a 30% chance of rain.
What to Pack
Visitors should be prepared for a wide variety of weather and temperatures. Packing layered clothing ensures that you will be prepared for whatever the weather throws at you. Packing the following is a good start.
